International Comfort Products T9MPD100J14C1 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that can determine when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Major indications of a poorly working limit switch
- The HVAC system is starting to act weird more than once
- System will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
