International Comfort Products T9MPD125L20C2 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that decides when the heated air is warm enough for the blower to be activated. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
General indicators that your limit switch will need replacing
- The HVAC system is unable to start or will not stay running longer than 10 minutes
- The HVAC system is beginning to runs spotty frequently
