Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that makes the determination when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
What to see if the limit switch most likely is not working right?
