International Comfort Products T9MPT075F14B1 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that decides if and when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
How can I tell if my limit switch most likely is in need of replacing?
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or will not stay running longer that five minutes
- Your system is starting to run inconsistently from time to time
