International Comfort Products TCH018AKA1 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a certain type of resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that is altered by temperature. They inform the main board when the temperature has been reached. The main control board takes the temperature in some specific areas of the system to make a decision on what needs to be done.
Indications the temp-regulating thermister will die soon
- The main blower could refuse to begin to ramp up to full speed
- The heating and AC system could possibly never start because of any stuck thermistor
