A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that senses, or governs, when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. A limit switch was crafted because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Symptoms of a poorly performing limit type switch
- The HVAC system is starting to runs uneven more often than not
- System will not begin the ignition sequence or run well longer than 30 seconds
