A limit switch was crafted because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Warnings of a worsening limit switch
- Your Kenmore system will not initiate or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The system starts to behave differently occasionally
