Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that makes the determination if and when the air is warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house.
General warnings to watch for in a bad critical limit switch
- The system begins to stop suddenly more often than not
- Your Kenmore system will not begin or run well even though the desired temperature has not been attained
