The actual dimensions of the filter is not really a choice you make but rather a requirement of your system. It is suggested that the filter that filters out particles from your home is replaced for a clean one every 90 days or so to maintain the best air quality in the home.
What to see if the main filter is almost bad?
- Many pros have advised to switch out the air filter in your unit about every three months to keep the unit running efficiently
- The system air filter looks like it is filled with dust and probably should be replaced as soon as humanly possible
- If you hold it up to the light, it will hardly show through a dirty filter
