The defrost sensor board determines when to initiate the defrost sequence which actually helps to get rid of the frost that collects on the outdoor unit. It is relayed information from a specific sensor located somewhere by the condenser to verify when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Do you know if your defrost board is about to go out?
