A transformer is commonplace in many manufactured goods which also includes your heating system as it is used to convert electrical output from one that is higher to a lower voltage. If you are going to replace a transformer, be sure to replace it with one that is properly rated for the exact voltage that is demanded. Transformers could have a certain criteria and you must follow specific electrical needs.
