The filter has the main responsibility for removing small dust molecules and other tiny particles from the air in the house. This helps protect the unit and make it operate way more efficiently while, at the same time, filtering the air in your home. During regular maintenance the air filter must be swapped out for a new one or perhaps cleaned thoroughly a few times a year in order to keep things clean.

- It is advised to replace your air filter about every 90 days to help prevent mold and bacteria build-up
