The motor spins the blade which produces a strong flow air from your HVAC system. Along with blowing air out, it also takes air in which helps out with keeping the wall unit cooled down whilst working.
Some warnings the LG fan blade has very little life left
- The system does not generate a good airflow in order to change the temperature
- The fan blade appears bent or broken and in terrible shape
- The main fan blade subjects you to a grinding sound while slowing down

Before buying or purchasing, do your due diligence and double check the correct model and also make a visual inspection in order to be sure the correct replacement fan blade is the one being purchased.
