Fan motors of wall units can be quite easy to swap out if you have any DIY skills and some tools. The main fan motor is responsible for the conditioned air flowing into the living area of the house.
Major clues the main fan motor will soon need to be replaced
- The blower blade does not spin while the unit should be running
- You can sometimes hear squeaking and other bone-chilling noises whilst the motor is turning
