Lennox 10ACE-036 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will reliable sense the acceptable flame while the system is starting. As with most devices used for safety reason, when the flame sensor gets triggered by something the furnace cannot start again for as long as the problem remains.
Major indications the primary flame sensor needs to be replaced
- Your furnace refuses to produce any heat and completely shuts down
- The gas refuses to begin igniting and closes down
- The furnace operates sporadically but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
