Lennox 13ACD-030 Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that decides when the heated air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Major indications of a deteriorating main limit switch
- System is unable to start nor will it stay running for any significant length if time
- The Lennox system is beginning to runs spotty frequently
