Lennox 13ACD-036 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose rated resistance is directly proportioned to temperature at its location. The heating and cooling system takes the temperature in a few critical areas to do its job as it should. They tell the main board when the temperature has been reached.
What warnings are present when my main thermister is almost dead?
- The whole system may not even begin to function due to any one thermistor that is stuck open
- Main blower could possibly fail in its attempt to engage full speed
