A thermistor is a thermal resistor, which has a resistance that will fluctuate depending on the temperature at its location. The system control board deciphers the temp in several different areas to understand what is going on. They inform the system when a certain temperature has been reached.
Indications poorly running Lennox thermister
- The heating and AC system could possibly not operate depending on which is the bad thermistor
- Blower motor may fail in the attempt to get up to full speed
