Lennox 13ACX-048 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, this is crucial due to the large amounts of heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The motor can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper too. Please make sure you buy a replacement motor with the proper voltage as well as amperage as on the current fan motor.
How do you know when your condenser fan motor is dying?
- The Lennox cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- A distinct rubbing noise when the motor is turning
- The motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound when it begins to turn
