Lennox 13HPD-024 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be driven away. It can be replaced on its own as this may make it a lot easier and reduce costs overall. Please make sure you find one with the voltage that is the same and amperage listed as it is on the bad motor.
Simple indications of a dying condenser fan motor
- The motor catches fire or throws sparks as it turns
- A terrible screeching sound while the cooling fan slows
- The Lennox cooling motor cannot turn the blade
