The flame sensor is a vital part that senses the proper flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As with other safety devices, when the flame sensor is activated the whole HVAC system will remain stopped until the problem is dealt with.
How do you know when your primary flame sensor is in need of replacing?
- Your
system cannot ramp up when you crank the thermostat up - The whole system will kind of run sporadically at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The LP or natural gas refuses to try to ignite and the main board displays on error code
