Lennox 13HPD-060 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be dissipated. Please make sure you are able to buy one with the same voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and reduce the price overall.
How can I tell if my main cooling fan motor is failing?
- A disturbing rubbing or scraping sound as the motor starts
- The Lennox cooling motor does not move at all
- The main cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks when it begins to turn
