Lennox 13HPD-060 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a type of resistor whose rated resistance is directly proportioned to temperature. They can tell the circuit board when a certain temperature has been reached. The main control board takes the temperature in a few critical areas to understand what is going on.
Some clues of a weak system thermister
- The heating and AC system could possibly never start depending on which is the thermistor that is stuck open
- Primary blower could fail in the attempt to ramp up the airflow
