Lennox 14ACX-036 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dissipated. The motor can be replaced on its own as this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and make it a probable DIY project. It is critical that you get the same voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor.
Red flags your Lennox fan motor is in need of replacing
- The motor smells burnt or sparks when in use
- The Lennox cooling motor fails to spin the blade
- You hear a scraping sound while the cooling fan is just starting
