A thermistor is a type of resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that is altered by the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The system control board interprets the temperature in several different areas to ensure that things are as they should be. They notify the circuit board when the temperature has been reached.
Red flags the system thermister is not going to last much longer
- Blower motor refuses in its attempt to engage full speed
