Lennox 90UGF Series Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a unique job of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be dissipated. Just make certain the replacement motor has the similar voltage and amperage listed as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced on its own without the blade, this can make the installation go smoother and a little less costly, as well.
Signs of a bad compressor fan motor
- The Lennox motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The main cooling motor catches fire makes a zapping sound when in use
- A distinct rubbing noise when the motor stops
