A transformer is inside many electronic products including your AC or furnace and it converts electricity to an altered voltage to be used for some particular device. Transformers can all be different and they should follow strict voltage readings. If one needs replacing, make sure to purchase on that is measured to the right voltage that is required.
How do you know if your converting transformer is about to stop working?
- The main transformer shows damage or smells burnt when being used
- Zero power coming from a main transformer block while using a voltmeter
- Flawed voltage can be measured coming from the main transformer
