Limit switches were created due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that senses, or governs, when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
