HVAC systems will not be able to function unless the control board is in its proper place and configured for your unit. The control board is made to control everything including the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor as well as the air circulator all in one unit. You must be sure upon choosing a board as a replacement due to the vast differences in brands, models and types of systems. The board that you will choose will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and model of the system you have installed.
