The primary function of an air pressure type switch is to sense whether the primary air circulator is doing what it is supposed to do. The air pressure switch is part of the collection of safety devices in place to keep you safe from harm. Most air pressure switches may have a reset feature that is manual, from which the switch will have to be manually reset in order for the HVAC system to continue running.
