Lennox CB27UH-048 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
