A conversion kit allows a furnace to switch energy sources from a single source of energy to something different, perhaps from heating oil to electric or some other type of energy depending on what you want. Conversion kits do not exist for all HVAC systems. They will only be obtainable for a limited number of them that are built for switching. If you do buy one you will probably want to have it installed by someone who has lots of experience, for the safety of all the people in your neighborhood.
