Lennox CB28UH-036 Expansion Valve
Pretty much every air conditioning system has an expansion valve that allows the refrigerant to expand back into gaseous form from a high pressure liquid state. Any home AC unit could not cool the air if the expansion valve was somehow damaged.
Indications the expansion valve has little life left
- Cooled air is well below the temp you are accustomed to so as to feel comfortable in the house
- The cooling system takes its sweet time to appropriately keep things cool
