Lennox CB30U-41 Blower Wheel
The blower wheel is attached to the blower motor and is spun around by a motor to generate airflow throughout a house. It is occasionally called a squirrel cage due to the alikeness to that of a pet hamster wheel. No matter what you call it, it is definitely an important device of any system that needs suitable airflow.
Major signs that your blower wheel probably is going out
- If any of the fins has been smashed and it does not spin correctly
- You may sense quite a bit less airflow overall
- A scraping sound is audible as the blower starts to turn
