HVAC systems will not operate without the main control board hooked up and is correctly configured. The control board is created to control everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all in one unit. You must be careful while picking a new replacement board due to differences in models within certain brands. The board you select will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and specific model of HVAC system.

- The entire system has to be powered down and back up frequently for the furnace or AC to kick on
