Lennox CBX32MV-048 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that can determine when the heated air is warm enough to activate the main blower.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my limit switch is on its last leg?
- The heating and cooling system will not even start or run as it should
- The HVAC system begins to run inconsistently time after time
