Lennox F8AUH Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat must be discharged into the air outside. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced as a whole unit with the blade or by itself, which this tends to make things easier and cheaper too. Please make sure you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the same amps as it is on the bad motor.
What to see if the fan motor is about to stop working?
- The motor catches fire or throws sparks while it tries to spin
- A weird rubbing noise when the cooling fan slows
- The Lennox cooling motor fails to spin the blade
