A basic electrical transformer is used for many products including your AC or furnace as it is mainly used to alter electricity output to an altered voltage to be used for some particular device. Transformers are all different and they should follow strict voltage requirements. When you replace one, make sure to get one that is rated for the voltage that is required.
General indicators that your Lennox transformer will need to be replaced
- Incorrectly sized volts is found across the chief transformer
- No power coming from a main transformer block while using a voltmeter
- Voltage transformer shows cracks or fractures or could smell like its burning while in use
