Lennox G26Q3-75 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a specific duty of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be driven away. Take the time to ensure the replacement motor has the correct voltage listed and the same amps as it is on the bad motor. The motor can be replaced as a whole unit with the blade or by itself, which this will reduce install time and a little less costly, as well.
Elements of a weak fan motor
- The motor starts to smoke or sparks when in use
- An audible screeching sound while the cooling fan slows
- The Lennox cooling motor fails to spin the blade
