Lennox G40DF-36A-045 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own without the blade, this tends to make things easier and will not drain your bank account. Please make sure you find one with the same voltage as well as amps as on the current fan motor.
Important signs your Lennox fan motor has very little life left
- The Lennox cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it turns
- An audible squeaking sound when the cooling fan is just starting
