Lennox G40DF-36A-045 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation.
Subtle cues of a failing limit switch
- The system begins to erratically frequently
- The heating and cooling system will not even start or will not stay running even though the desired temperature has not been attained
