Lennox G40DF-36A-070X Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dissipated. Just make sure you get the exact voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with or without the blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Subtle hints the cooling fan motor needs replacing
- The motor smells burnt or throws sparks while in use
- The Lennox motor does not move at all
- You hear a rubbing or scraping sound when the cooling fan turns
