Lennox G40DF-48C-090X Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a unique job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. The unit may be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this tends to make installing it easier and a little less costly, as well. It is critical that the replacement motor has the similar voltage and correct amp current as on the current fan motor.
What are some indications that my main cooling fan motor is almost going bad?
- The motor catches fire or throws sparks as it spins
- You may hear grinding noise while the motor is starting
- The Lennox motor tries but fails to turn at all
