Lennox G40UH-24A-070 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose resistance varies depending on the temperature. They tell the heating and cooling system when the temperature reaches a certain point. The main control board needs to know the temperature in some specific areas of the system to understand what is going on.
What are the signs that the thermister is not working right?
- Main blower may fail in its attempt to begin full speed blowing
- The heating and cooling system could possibly never start depending on which is the bad thermistor
