Lennox G40UH-36A-070 Transformer
A transformer is a regular occurrence in most things electrical which includes your forced air system as it is mainly used to alter electricity output from 120V to 24V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers are all different and you must follow specific voltage readings. When one needs replacing, it would be good to get one that is rated for the exact voltage that is necessary.
How can I tell if my unit transformer is almost going bad?
- Zero power is measured from the output of a main transformer while being tested
- Cycling voltages can be measured coming from the system transformer
- The main transformer looks cracked or maybe smokes while electricity is running through it
