Lennox G40UH-48C-135 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that can determine if and when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Some clues of an ailing critical limit switch
- Your Lennox system refuses to start or run well longer that five minutes
- Your system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly more often than not
