This heat element allows the air to be heated prior to being distributed through the ducts. Your furnace will not be able to supply any warmed air to efficiently heat, if the heating element is damaged.

- Little to no heat being created by the system for an extended period of time
- The piece seems old, rusty and in rough shape
- Furnace element refuses to heat up or not warm enough to produce heat because it is probably worn out
