Lennox G61MPV-36B-045 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is responsible for keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dissipated. Be sure the new motor has the same voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this tends to make things easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Important clues of a failing compressor fan motor
- A disturbing grinding sound when the cooling fan speeds up
- The Lennox cooling motor fails to spin at all
- The motor starts to smoke or sparks as it is used
