Lennox G61MPV-60D-135 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a specific duty of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It is important that the new motor has the correct voltage listed as well as amperage as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this makes installation simpler and a little less costly, as well.
Some clues of a declining fan motor
- A specific grinding sound when the cooling fan is stopping
- The cooling motor smells burnt or sparks while in use
- The Lennox motor does not move at all
