Lennox G71MPP Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a unique job of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The unit may be replaced with the blade or without as this will reduce install time and it is something you can do yourself. Please make sure the replacement motor has the same voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Hints of a deteriorating cooling fan motor
- The main cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks while in use
- A terrible grating type sound when the cooling fan starts
- The Lennox cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
